Welcome everyone to this new site dedicated to meaningful encounters

It was the day after a magnificent walk in the heart of a forest of giant eucalyptus trees, during my trip to Australia last February, that this idea came to me as an obvious truth. 

"I’m going to create an ethical dating site."

This is exactly the sentence I said to my wife when I woke up. She was surprised and curious, she smiled, asked me lots of questions, and later on I said:

"It will be called Oldfashiond."

How did I get here? Eight years earlier, when moving to Watermael-Boitsfort in the south-east of Brussels, at the edge of the Sonian Forest, I felt it was time to do something for others. As I worked also on Saturdays and Sundays at the time, it was difficult for me to turn to volunteering. A few days later, during a moment of contemplation in the forest, I had an intuition. It just came

to me: 

"I am going to create a trekking group. To help people connect, it will be called " Le Triple Lien " — the link to oneself, to others, and to Nature."

This name came to me after reading a wonderful book, Les Tisserands by Abdennour Bidar, which I had just finished. Other authors such as Frédéric Lenoir, Alexandre Jollien, Christophe André… also helped me progress on this path of opening consciousness, listening, sharing, and caring for others.

Thus, over these eight years, through the trips organized by Le Triple Lien in Europe, I met incredible people, lived extraordinary adventures, discovered beautiful landscapes, and above all, wove strong and enriching human bonds.

Through these experiences and the many encounters they generated, I came to question myself and I reflected on the difficulties many people face linked to couples, finding someone to share life with and relationships in general.  These reflections were reinforced by numerous testimonials from members of my group and friends as they shared their experiences on dating sites: the difficulty to find a genuine person, the “shopping” feeling, the lack of kindness from some users, and the disappointments that followed.

Since February 2025, having very limited experience in technical issues linked to IT, I have called upon competent people and companies to support me in the realization of my project. Life granted me with meeting professionals who understood the soul of the project.

Nine months later, the baby was born. OldFashiond will be, I hope, the subtle bridge allowing you to find a partner to share unforgettable happy moments with.
